Home School Support Group Possibilities

It is hard to overestimate the
importance
of your home school support group (aka co-op). All members of the homeschooling family benefit.
Below are activity suggestions for your co-op. Believe me, this list just scratches the surface of possibilities. Each support group is unique. Poll Moms and youngsters to find out
the needs and wants.

Notes: 1) The following activities could be scheduled during the meetings or as a separate projects.
2) There is overlap among ages in some of the categories. For example, many teens enjoy participating in the weekly or bi-weekly meetings of the entire support group. However, other older students may have other commitments or too much school work to spend three to four hours at a co-op gathering.
3) Be sure to leave some free time at the end of the meeting for spontaneous play.

Friendship
Friendship, peculiar boon of Heav'n,
The noble mind's delight and pride,
To men and angels only giv'n,
To all the lower world denied.
Samuel Johnson, Friendship: An Ode
