16. Any reasonable answer is acceptable. (bravery, self-sacrifice, nobility, perseverance, wisdom, honor, patriotism, etc.) Ask the child give examples of how George Washington showed these virtues. (This is an important step in teaching the student to always be able to prove his statements.)

On President's Day or February 22 (G.W.'s birthday) it might be fun to have a patriotic dinner. Set the table with red, white and blue (tablecloth, napkins, dishes). Decorate with American Flags. Play Sousa's marches.

You can be elaborate as you wish or as simple. The point here, of course, is to imbue the youngsters with love and appreciation of the United States and our great founders.
