Homeschool Organizing Key to Success
Homeschool organizing is necessary. The curriculum, of course, has to be cohesive. But don't neglect careful ordering of
electives
and extra-curricular programs, too. Before any activity is selected, think of your ultimate goals.
- First, in order to "pull off" home education with success, we have to recognize the child's natural yearnings.
A youngster develops:
- intellectually
- spiritually
- morally
- physically
- socially
Consequently, new needs and wants develop. He wants to learn. He has a desire for God and the noble. He has to take care of his body. He needs friends and fun.
- These normal needs have to be met. The trick is to accomplish this within the value system which caused you to start teaching at home in the first place. This is the place for homeschool organizing.

Picture this analogy. A huge wagon is piled high with heavy, valuable cargo. The driver hitches a massive Clydesdale to the wagon. The animal is obviously strong and capable. But he can't move the weight alone. More horses are needed. But not just any horses. The driver has to carefully choose the other members of the team. If they are wild and trying to run off every which way, the pulling effort dissolves into chaos. All the horses need to be headed in the same direction. Only then, working together, toward a joint goal, will they achieve success.

It is the same with homeschool order.
- When deciding how to satisfy the youngster's needs, a primary question must be asked.
"Will this decision help or hinder the education of my child?"
You pour yourself into home education--use a challenging curriculum...spend hours planning...and more hours checking...diligently research topics...plus invest your hopes and dreams for your child.
All of this is at great risk if you allow things contrary to your goals. This could include the following:
--mindless or sinful TV, movies, radio
--too much TV, movies, radio, computer
--unsupervised computer time
--sinful music
--sinful books and magazines
--bad companions
--too much leisure (relaxing is good, of course--a parent senses when too much is too much)
Each family has to decide its own limits and stick to them.
- Choices about
discipline
and
order,
scheduling, faith, home life,
electives,
sports,
entertainment, volunteering,
co-op activities,
etc. need to be integrated to complement teaching your child at home.
There are bountiful opportunities for fun and recreation. You just have to look for them. Use the homeschool organizing tips at this site. You can find many suggestions, helps...and

This coordination of home study and "everything else" leads the child to be the best he can be...to want to learn... to yearn for the Truth...to appreciate the beautiful...to embrace
the noble. It fosters a balanced life which prepares a child to welcome the special role his Creator has planned for him.
Make the time--take the trouble--for homeschool organizing. Assure that all facets of your child's life point him in the same direction. The results are well-worth the effort. It's
your child's future--and a battle worth fighting.
