These Homeschool Recommended Reading Lists are for leisure reading. Included are light-hearted and quality "modern" writings. Age labels on books are dangerous. Everyone is different... and, honestly I know several girls who picked up an old Nancy Drew at fourteen or so and had a terrific time. So the recommendations are purposefully very general.
