Fortunately, we are not limited to only one answer! There is not just one set of requirements to home school high school. No one size fits all. Taylor the plan to fit the child...the perfect set-up for a homeschool!
Take a variety of factors into consideration and plan an exciting, edifying program for your child.
Know your
state
requirements. Many don't address high school requirements or homeschooling graduation requirements. But if they do, be certain to follow them.
For example, my state has hour, location, log and portfolio demands.
Check future college entrance requirements. Even if your student's present plan doesn't include post-high school education, things change. Be sure he is prepared if he changes his mind.
Follow your
program curriculum
requirements(if you use one).

Sample of pre-college curriculum:
*CORE
English: 4 credits (years)
Math: 3-4 credits
History/Social Science: 3-4 credits
Science: 3-4 credits (at least 1 with lab)
Foreign Language: 2-4 credits (minimum 2 years of the same language)
Usually, a student will have a minimum of five core classes per year. Then add

Fine Arts--
1-2 credits
Other courses
--enough to have 24-28 credits. Academic electives are preferred. These would included additional core, computer and religion courses.
With careful planning to fulfill high school requirements, your youngster will be well-prepared intellectually and personally to achieve his future dreams and aspirations.
